Hi, I just had my tongue pierced elsewhere 3 days ago. I took it out today because it was swollen and the bottom hole felt quite painful when I talk or yawn. When I took it out, there was a small amount of blood. I was wondering if my tongue was infected. And if it is infected, is it true that the infection will get trapped inside the tongue? If yes, what will happen and what should I do if it gets trapped? I already took it out, so it's no use if I were to put it back in again, it has been more than 5 hours since. And Now, I noticed a tiny amount of white pus coming out of the bottom and top hole, and the top hole has a bit of blood too. I am very worried about this. :( Please reply soon. Thank you.

Dear Nini,

Sorry we don't do any piercing in our studio as 1 out 10 person that are pierced will have problem.

I can't give any advise in-term of piercing but I was a medic in the army during national service and it sounds like you need to see a doctor to get antibiotic medication for your tongue as it is kind of swollen..

Please go see a doctor ASAP to check out your tongue before it is too late and you need surgical operation to treat your tongue.

Hello! Ive been thinking of getting a new tattoo for a while, and just came over ur website! Looks like you guys know what you doing.

I have two questions. If I say I want a tattoo, how long is the waiting time?

and

How much would you say a tattoo with a japanese style face, with the inscription good times and bad times on my back will cost.

Im gussing it wont be any bigger then A4, smaller I guess. As it says around 600$, but i am a student at NTU and my economie is not the best. Is there anychance of a dicsount:) ?

Dear Pål, There is no fixed waiting period to get a tattoo from us. If we have a free slot to tattoo on the day you want to tattoo we can do it for you.

Yup. We will give you student rate for your tattoo, but I can't you an exact price yet as you didn't give me the lenght and width of your required tattoo , the design you wanted to tattoo onto you and whether it is in colour or bIack/grey..

I hope the Japanese Face you are tallking about is

1. Haynna mask

2. Japanese geisha head

3. Japanese Shogun head wit his war helmet..

4. Japanese demon head

I strongly advise don't tattoo only a samurai head as there is no enough details to make it a very good tattoo motif.. I have seen tons of people with boring samurai head on them.

Dear Seow, Very sorry to hear cover up tattoo..

We have tons of clients coming in wanting to cover their badly done cover-ups did in overseas or by newbies home-artists.. But we have to turn alot of them down and refer them to National Skin Centre to laser everything away or lighten the colour before we can cover them up....

Is it possible you email me a pic of your tattoo at [email protected] or MMS to me at 97604147. I will reply whether we can do for you..

Hmm.. As for pricing, for a palm size tattoo like yours.. If it is just a minor job of touching up a bit of lining and colour it will be S$150, but it is a super serious case when we need to cover your tattoo all over again with another bigger tattoo we had to charge you the full price of S$400.. So your price range is S$150-S$400.. After you I see your tattoo I will reply with the price..

Hi, I would like to get a tattoo for myself on my coming 25th birthday as a momento. Although I have been contemplating about getting one for quite some time, till now, I have yet to fix on the design, location etc. Does familiar strangers aid customers in coming up with a design, probably by getting inputs from customers? eg. the things we like, images we fancy etc... If yes, how long will the process normally take and what are the extra charges for this?

Dear Fen, There is no need to come our studio to get advise on what tattoo you need.. You already have the answer..

I always give suggestions to clients but end of the day non of them took my idea.. Guess nobody like a giant green colour dragon in their back, skulls on their leg or devil on their arm anymore.. But I seriously think they look cool on me and I love them.. Ha ha ha..

Hmm.. Do you get it now?? You have to think of tattoos that is have some meaning to you, not just a tattoo that look on you.. What others like or dislike doesn't concern you. The tattoo is on you, if it is special to you, you will cherish it for the rest your life when it look faded and wrinkle 50 years later.. Believe it or not, I offered tons of friends to redo their old tattoo but all of them turned me down as that old ugly tattoo is special to them..

Search deep inside your heart : What is important to you, what deep thoughts you want others to feel when they saw your tattoo.. Don't just jump in and come my studio to get your tattoo done..

Onces you know what motifs you want, just sms me at 97604147 to book for an tattoo appointment. When you arrived Apple will sketch out what you want on the spot, she will keep on editing the sketch till you are satisfied then you will be tattooed. If you decided to back out and not tattoo that day you have pay us S$60 for the time spent sketching.. If you tattoo that day sketching is free of charge.

Oh, It is strongly advised NOT to tattoo at exposed area like neck, face, head and forearm if you still want to make a living after you tattooed..

The least painful area to tattoo are the upper arms and the most painful area are the arm-pits. Anywhere else of the body you will have the same pain during tattooing..

If it is a small tattoo smaller than A5 size, from sketching till finished tattooing will take less than 4 hours..

You can also email me the length and width of your tattoo in CM or inches to ask for a price quote..

A full back koi tattoo will cost S$1800 to S$3500.. Depending on the size of your back, black/grey or colour and how complex you want your Koi Tattoo to be..

Apple can freehand sketch the Koi onto your back or stencil it onto your back after drawing it on paper.. The choice is yours.

Hi, do you guys do cover up tattoo, its smaller then A4 size from chest to upper arm. its black and grey now i wish to cover it with colour dragon ect. will the colour like yellow , red, green cover the black ink before? thanks

Hi there, I'm very new to this whole thing. This is the first time I decided to get a tattoo and I think I can trust you guys.

I just want a script tattoo,not very complex font, "Music is my language" with two very tiny little stars at the beginning and the end of the script. Total length will be around 7cm and height of 1cm.

I'm still a student but getting 20 yrs old pretty soon so I wanna do this for my birthday. So how much will this cost me?

And is it hard to come to your place? Coz I'm a foreigner and not too familiar with all the roads yet :D

Dear Jenny,

I seriously don't think you should squeeze that many words into 7cm.. At least 10cm is the properly size to do it so that the words can be tattooed and read clearly.

At 10cm length your tattoo will be S$80-S$100 depending the fonts you choose and the size of the stars you wanted. The more complex it is the more expensive it gets.

It is not hard to come to our studio... You can take a taxi to THE RIVERWALK Building.

Or you can take the MRT to Clarke Quay MRT station, exit the station VIA Exit E and cross the road at Eu Tong Sen Street to THE RIVERWALK. It only take 5 min to walk from Clarke Quay MRT Station to THE RIVERWALK Building.

Your tattoo will cost S$200- S$300 and 2-3 hours to complete depending on the size of it.. Hmm.. People can faint for all kind of reasons including drinking too much water and tattooing etc.. Don't worry mann, if you fainted Apple will wake you up before continue tattooing you again..

Dear Santi,

Tattooing on any part of the body will hurt but the tattooing inner arm or chest will hurt much more.

You can consider wrapping yourself in Emla Cream 2 hours before tattooing. Note that the Emla Cream can only numb your skin for only 10min-15min, if you are very afraid of pain I suggest you choose a very small word that can be completed in 10min.

Hello. I have sensitive skin. Sometime I will have red rashes when I use new make-up products etc.. Are there any way to test whether I will be sensitive to the tattoo ink before I get tattoo?

Dear Su,

You can always rub some tattoo ink on your skin's surface before tattooing to check are there any negative reactions like swelling or rashes. But please note that even when there is no negative reaction on the skin surface it is not 100% safe. As the tattoo ink will be embeded in your skin during tattooing and you may have negative reaction once the tattoo ink got embeded in the skin.

Just to play safe I strongly suggest you don't get any permanent tattoos, body paintings or temporary henna tattoo..

If you insist on getting a permanent tattoo please seek medical advise from a doctor and test what is your allergies before tattooing.. The doctor will advise whether you can be tattooed and what kind of substance/tattoo ink you must avoid.

Hi, I'm this is my first time to get a tattoo. I'm thinking of getting a small circular shaped tattoo (best to describe it is a rose window inspired design, like the ones in cathedrals) on the back of my neck, its about 2cm in diameter, how much will it cost? The tattoo doesn't have much detail, but if it has bit of colour besides black will the price be any different?

Also, I don't have any allergic reactions towards henna, will my skin be sensitive towards tattoo ink?

Your white ink tattoo is S$100 as long as it is 1 credit card size or smaller..

But please note white ink tattoos cannot be seen clearly after a few months lots of people do it because they don't want their tattoos to be seen clearly..

Hi there,
I have a tattoo of an Om symbol on my hand i'd like to have covered up. It is 4 cm by 4 cm in size, slightly bigger than a 50 cent coin, black ink.
I'd like to cover it up with an owl tattoo, probably 3/4 the length of a credit card, and 1/4 to 1/2 the width, black ink as well.
But i only have a budget of $120, do you think it's enough? Please do advise.

If your cover-up tattoo is 1 credit card size or less it can be done within S$120. But we are not sure the old tattoo can be covered with an owl design as we didn't see it yet.. You can email pics of your old tattoo and your required owl design to us at [email protected] I will reply you soon.

Hi there,

I'm thinking of getting a simple tattoo of birds, should be five or six birds, covering one side of my back only.

I'm a student now and looking for a part time job, so can I know how much it will be? :)

Dear C,

Punching the tattoo needles deeper will not make the colours of your tattoo darker, it will only cause injuries to your skin. White ink colour tattoo is suppose to look fading or not obvious because it is "white". We can always change the colour of your wrist tattoo to a dark colour like black or blue if you want your wrist tattoo to look obvious.

Very sorry we can't quote you the price of your tattoos because you have not given us the length X width of your tattoos.. Generally we will charge S$100 for a credit card size tattoo..

Hi there, 'm turning 20 this year. but this YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE thing have been really haunting me! that's why i wanna fulfill one of my wish of getting a tattoo on my back.

would be "I play my own life." in cursive character (i dont know the name of the font! ): ) maybe just a few cm above my lingerie strap.
maybe it's stretch across my back. like 15cm - 20cm across? not very big.

may i know how much would it cost? and also i don't know how high my pain tolerance level are. may i know will tattooing hurts to a extent that 'll cry? and also this five wordings will take how long? :)

Your 15cm - 20cm cursive character tattoo will cost about S$200-S$250. Your tattoo will take last than 15min - 30min to complete.

Hmm.. Don't worry too much you can take the pain as we are tattooing you, not cutting you into pieces ;-)

Hello, I've gotten a tattoo 2 weeks ago and it was not very well-done. For obvious reasons, I have decided not to return to the tattoo artist (even though they are offering free touch up, I guess I'd rather go to a place that is more trustworthy i.e. Familiar Strangers and pay to have my tattoo touched up). I would like to ask if 3 weeks is long enough for the new tattoo to be touched up on?

We recommend you wait at least 30days before you get your tattoos touch up.

Hmm.. It is also best you discuss the problems you are having in the tattoo with your current tattoo artist before switching to another tattoo studio, as every tattoo artist have their unique style of tattooing if you switch to another tattoo artist to redo the tattoo it may not turn out exactly how you initially envision it to be...

No need to book 2 years ahead..... You can Whatspp / SMS us at +65 97604147 to book your tattoo appointment 2-3 weeks before hand for complex tattoos.. For simple tattoos like words and tribals just walk-in Monday - Saturday at 3pm-8pm to get your tattoo done, no appointment needed..

Oh, please note that we only tattoo age 18 and above, if you haven't turn 18 we can't tattoo you..

A full leg sleeve can easily cost over S$3000 because it will take many sessions to complete.. Please drop by our tattoo studio Monday - Saturday at 3pm - 8pm to view our reference books and discuss further with our tattooists, after discussion you can place a S$100 deposit to book a tattoo appointment in 1 - 2 weeks time.

Hi guys,

I am planning to have a tattoo on my upper left arm.

Appreciate if you can show me a different designs of Polynesian tattoo to select of as this is one of my preference.

But I'm still thinking to have a simpler but more detailed and creative tattoo (your advise for this much appreciated on whats the best tattoo to have specially for the first timer like me).
